Red Royal Flora Discus
$98.00 – $316.00
The Red Royal Flora: how can you read this fish? Is that some ancient tongue, to be read from right to left? Why does it look so familiar? And then suddenly I remember… It’s the 60’s. I’m on a Manhattan subway platform and a hip young busker is singing “Feeling Groovy.” I love that song! Do I have any loose change? Suddenly he’s drowned out as the downtown express roars past, flashing streaks of scarlet red graffiti. Vibrant swirls of color – just like this Red Royal Flora! Graffiti was everywhere in those days — on walls and sidewalks, in hallways and on stairs.
In fact, color was everywhere. Gone were the drab days of black and white films, the monotony of lackluster television. Movies were bursting with Technicolor. NBC was famous for its brilliant peacock icon. But it was the advent of spray paint that turned the outdoor city into a polychromatic jigsaw puzzle.
For some people graffiti was vandalism. For others, a form of social protest. Whatever it was, it didn’t disappear but began to take a different form. Eventually it became a unique art movement. From Basquiat to Banksy, wealthy collectors took notice.
As I look now at our mysterious Red Royal Flora, I wonder — does he know he’s a work of art?

The heckel fish seems to be improving, looking healthier, eating, more energetic so I'm hoping he'll pull through and mature nicely. The red ring leopard seems to be the one struggling the most, he's swimming sideways, very dark, looks like his skin is peeling, just overall sickly. But he's eating and the food is medicated. Here is a video I just took of him. The other two from that delivery look really nice, they are very beautiful fish and healthy.
They’re all good and look great, Beautiful. They’re bigger than i thought, huge. Thank you so much!
Hello Michael, I was at your website (again) and was checking out the comments. The fish you pictured as a galaxy turquoise with my comment is actually what was labeled as the red royal flora.
