Golden Pigeon Leopard Discus, White Base
$44.00 – $155.00
I was much younger when we used to hop in the convertible and take a trip down to the beach. My dad would turn on the golden oldies, and we would cruise the coastline with the salty air whipping through our hair. The Golden Pigeon Leopard Discus reminds me of how the sun would look as it was setting behind the ocean. Those same red, white, and gold tones instantly transport me to a time when life was simple, and a good chat with my dad would solve all my problems.
To think that those gorgeous sunsets happened over fish just like these. One could even question if the sunset itself stole its beauty from the majesty of the world beneath the ocean surface. Philosophy aside, every time I see one of these fish, I can smell the ocean air and hear the Beach Boys as clear as day.
It’s funny how a fish can spark such a feeling deep in your soul. A tank full of Golden Pigeon Leopard Discus’ is like having a personal sunset every day. Turn on some Beach Boys, grab a drink, and let your stress melt away while you enjoy a beach getaway in your living room.

Hi Michael, Your fish are beautiful! They are already settling in the tank (55gal) after about an hour. Many thanks.
Good afternoon, very happy with the very nice and healthy discus, we will soon place another order, thank you.
Will it grow the rest of the pattern or is it going to stay like that? From Michael: You need to allow the fish to grow into its full patterning, which will occur at around 5 inches. The current pattern looks decent to me for a 2 inch fish. It will grow in.
They are my first discus. I want to set up with plants and get more discus. Obviously I will get it with you my future discus. Thanks.

i!
We received the fish last night, they seem to be doing well, they were definitely stressed from the long shipping but seem much better this morning! The yellow one was sideways on the bottom at first and was shaking/convulsions on and off so we turned the lights out. It seems to have bounced back this morning. The two red ones ate right away when fed this morning, the yellow one won’t eat yet but hoping it will eat later after more time to acclimate.
Totally understand the shipping is out of your control but seems like a long route considering they appear to have been shipping from Miami, we are in Longwood (right outside of Orlando) and they were shipped from Miami to Louisville, KY and then back to Orlando, then were on the ups truck from 8 am to 7:15 pm! Again understand you have to rely on the shipper, just seems there should be a more direct route for the poor guys! The water was chilly for discus but we floated them for a while (30-35 minutes) before putting them into the tank to slowly warm them back up.
Absolutely the best looking discus we have ever seen! Never seen such brilliant colors and markings, very healthy looking fish!! Very impressed.
Fish look great so far we have 3 other discus and everyone is getting along so far. I appreciate the excellent quality discus. They’re beautiful and just what we were hoping they would be.
Michael, they all sparked up in a few hours. I did make a mistake and let the water in the bags into the tank. Its new water settled for a week, then one week with about 8 small fish, 2 crayfish and a snail. I am running 2 filters (75 Gal rating for each) on each side of my 65 Gallon aquarium and they have the bio filters that spin in front as the water exists the filter. I have a bag to absorb hardness in one filter. The water yesterday (before the intro of new fish) tested perfect in all the 5 test areas. PH is 7.0. Water temp 76 degrees. From Michael: Your water temperature is way too cold. Check my FAQs page for correct params.
The fish all seem to be safe and sound, so far. However, from looking at the fish and my order, they don't seem to match. I don't have the Ocean Green Discus. Also, I don't seem to have the Turquoise Heckel Cross Discus. That one is concerning since it was one of the most expensive fish in the order. I tried to attach a video but it's too large. So I am attaching pics. Perhaps I am misidentifying the fish. Please advise. From Michael: Rest assured you received the correct strains. Do the numbers match up? Remember, many of my photos are taken out of water vs the in-water photos you are showing. In addition, fish that have recently landed are stressed and have been starved for 48 hours before I shipped them to you.
Hello Michael, we love our new fish & they are doing well in the new tank. They only thing I would have to say is the red based seems to have some fin rot going on, but other than that we will definitely be ordering more in the future! I wanted to ask if you have any recommendations on treating fin rot? Attached are the fishy’s:) From Michael: Not fin rot. Normal wear and tear from transit ammonia burns. Some Paraguard will clear it up within a week. It's a non-issue.
I would take any suggestions you have. From Michael: You clearly know what you're doing -- no live plants, minimal tank decorations. I would add more discus. The general formula is 1 fish per 10 gallons. Good luck!
Man they're so beautiful thank you so much. Thank you so much I appreciate it and I'm so excited to see them grow and change.
They arrived early yesterday and we floated them for a couple of hours and left the lights off in the talk and the entire room for 24 hours. Slowly ramped up the lights today and was surprised they are doing so well and not hiding They look happy and healthy we are very happy with them.
Yes they arrived nice they are beautiful and big thanks.
Hi, all fish arrived good. The Germans are especially thriving and love to eat, the yellow one is catching on and seems to be acclimating. Unfortunately the golden pigeon did pass today. I’ve attached a photo, not the best but unsure of how to take it. That one was the most bright and colorful so we are sad it did not make it. We love the quality of all of the fish and their unique personality. I’ve also attached a photo of the 3 that are doing great.
I’m going to post some pics tomorrow. But I just had to let you know that. I was very happy with the fish. I’m not going to lie. I read reviews on Google about your site using pics of fish that weren't actually available. And the site sends out different discus than ordered. I'm glad I didn’t listen to those reviews and just decided to order. A few of the tetra's didn’t make it. But I know that is normal. Since I’ve ordered them online before, I knew that wasn’t an issue. All the discus are all swimming around. Even started eating not too long after putting them in the tank. Like I said I'm going to upload pics tomorrow. And I will leave a review. From Michael: Hi Trameka, thank you for your note. There's an old saying that goes like this: "the taller the tree, the more wind it catches." As the #1 discus seller in the world, we certainly catch our fair share of wind. At the end of the day, our customers seem to always come back to us for more. I guess it has something to do with our free shipping offer coupled with the impeccable quality of fish we sell. Please be mindful that most--not all of the negative “reviews” you read out there were not submitted by actual customers, but were actually planted by competitors, most of whom have since gone out of business a few years back. That said, there are indeed legitimate reviews out there from situations I wasn't able to or didn’t have the opportunity to perfectly address. Sometimes, customers make the mistake of being too hasty to post instead of attempting to rectifying the issue directly with me.

Hi Michael:
As per our conversation, we received the package, but one of them came with no water and was dead. This was the turquoise discus. Attached pictures of dead fish with stick on eye.
Also, as I mentioned the red one does not look good, but as you instructed I will give it until tomorrow morning. Attached pic.
The albino millennium we ordered does not look like it, it looks more than the golden valentines discus!!! Attached pic.
Please acknowledge receipt of this email, and let me know how to proceed...
Thanks,

Good morning, yes they got here safely! All still alive. I really appreciate you picking me some beautiful first time Discus for me. No, I have no other Discus but I am gonna be ordering 2 or 3 more from you cause I have 2 more picked out already lol. But I have a 55 gallon tank so I think maybe 2 for sure. I do still have the light turned off still. I just put it on for a sec to take a picture for you. But I hope you know I'm so happy that I found you to order from. I have stage 4 endometriosis and I learned over the years dealing with it. Me watching fish helps my depression and anxiety cause of me having to stay at home due to my symptoms, so I can sit and watch my new Discus for hours! I hope I can be the best Discus mom that I can be! I have read almost everything you have on your page over and over. So...I hope to definitely keep these babies safe and well. I'm definitely looking forward to getting the last 2 I would love to get! I hope if you don't mind if I do run into something if I may contact you to help me though? But hopefully I don't..lol but thank you so very much again for making me a new Discus mom! Have a Merry Christmas :) From Michael: Of course you may contact me any time. Thank you for the kind words, and Merry Christmas to you!

Hi Michael,
All the fish arrived safely! They look beautiful and have acclimated well and have eaten. They all look healthy, except for one of the German Blue Rams. He seemed stressed from the shipping, but I held out hope. Unfortunately when I arrived this morning, he was dead. I don’t expect a refund or a replacement since it has been a couple days since they arrived, but I just wanted to let you know.
Have a great day!
Emily
P.S.
These fish were purchased for a small family owned aquarium and our guests are very delighted with the new discus!
From Michael: Let's get a lay of the land after everything has arrived, and we will figure out what I owe you and we'll go from there. I will make good on everything owed/DOA.
I just received my order today and can't express how happy I am with the quality of fish that I received. The discus were all in great condition, brightly colored, no rips in fins, and exactly what I ordered. On top of that - the fish that I received were twice the size in comparison to other discus dealers!!! The wait was a little longer than I expected, but my God it was well worth it. I will absolutely recommend you to others and will definitely order from you again. Thank you.
Good afternoon Michael happy Friday. This is Brent R. the fish delivered Tuesday and I love them. This is from yesterday afternoon when I turned on the lights! I was wearing my Discus.com tshirt yesterday when I was acclimating my fish.
Thanks 4 the e-mail Michael! Fish are doing great!!! Thank 4 the sweet fish! I will be getting a few more fish in May.....the fish were packed great! But after they left you!.... they were not handled right.... they were beat up pretty badly! My order was to big and thats my bad :) If the carrier does not keep the box the right way the whole time the fish will get beat up and stress out and are in trouble! All fish survived and in the time since have only Lost 3 of them! Love your Web site i have to be on it everyday and see all the great selections You have! (I want all of them!!) Hahahaha thanks again 4 everything Michael!
They eat all that You can put in front of them! The golden pigeon leopards are getting better looking everyday and are always moving around the tank and active! My favorite guys are the german red turquoise (red base) ... they have a great shape to them and the fins are always up and out on display!! And the royal heckel cross! Cant wait to see what he will be look like in a few months! Beautiful fish!! Thanks y'all! I appreciate ya.
Dear Mr. Li: After receiving a shipping, I noticed the Red Fuji Discus has a lot of black spots on gills and fins. I though that was from the natural born, but after 2 days, others fish stated having black spots on gills, fins, and body. On the day three, all the fish got it. I started raised the temperature to 88 and used API-General Cure for treatment. Try to hold off my second shipment for one week or two. Anything I can do to help my fish. I am new to discus. Thank you, An From Michael: The small black spots are what is called peppering in discus. It is normal for any pigeon strain, and does not indicate the fish are sick.
The fish you picked for me are beautiful. You did me solid. I'll get pics and reviews out. Here's a quick shot before the lights went out. I'll get you a couple more with them spread out. It's funny watching them they're playing in the current. I got some MP40s turned way down and they like it.
Wow this fish is huuuge!!! Thank you so much!!
