During my high school days, we’d spend hours in the dance studio practicing our ballet routines for recitals, competitions, and other performances. We’d always wear the same uniform: a bright red leotard underneath and a glistening white tutu over the leotard. Days gone by, so present and eye-catching in the uniform’s stunning colors. Looking now at the Red Calico Discus, my heart immediately returns to those dazzling days. The Red Calico Discuses has the same bright red and beautiful white which brings me back to days as a ballerina when I wore this stunning combination of colors.
Looking at a Red Calico Discus, reminds me of when my best friend Suzy decided to add a few red speckles to her white tutu. The addition of the red speckles really made her uniform pop! The Red Calico Discus’s amazing color combination brings me right back to the day Suzy carefully adorned her tutu with red speckles… I can my ballet team and I meeting up at the park just before dance…our buns tightly wound and glitzed up with sparkly hair pins…the winter hitting us with a blanket of snow. The discus moves gracefully and so did us ballerinas. Across the staged we went, into the air we leapt, and back down to the ground we came gracefully as we began our next turn.
It’s amazing how one stunning, vibrantly colored fish opens up a world of beauty and appreciation. I would love to add one to my tank at home, so that I can always be surrounded by vibrancy and reminded of the joy of dance.
