Good morning!
All fish arrived without issue and all look healthy. One, the Golden Pigeon, was laying on his side for a bit once I put him in but was up and around after a couple hours. He still is a bit lethargic but is hanging out with the others.
but seems to be breathing a little more rapidly than the rest.
They are a bit shy but are starting to venture out. I tried feeding them this morning with frozen bloodworms. They didn;t show much interest at first. The 2 turquoise and one cobalt started eating from the tank floor. The yellow pigeon appears to be spitting them out and the red marlboro and golden pigeon are not interested at all. I was going to try some beefheart this afternoon.
I have the temp set at 86. Levels are pH: 6.8, KH: 30, GH: 60. Sand substrate with live plants (Swords, anubias and java fern. 6 hour light cycle at medium to low light. 12 rummynose, 3 phantom tetras, 1 cory (can't keep corys alive at this temp I think. I tried Sterbais but I think I might try Adolphi's).
Food on hand: Frozen bloodworms, frozen brine shrimp, frozen beefheart, NLS Discus pellets.

I purchased 6 German Red Turquoise discus and two Classic Leopard yellow base discus, all of the fish are beautiful, and all arrived in excellent condition and are doing well. They were packaged very well, shipping and communication was excellent. I highly recommend and will be purchasing more down the road. I have recommended Michael and Discus.com to our members of my local fish club, the Greater Pittsburgh Aquarium Society. Thanks again!

Dear Michael,
All 11 discus we have an awesome, except number 12, the ocean green. He had a white spot on his bottom fin , like he had been flicking it during shipping. He quarantined and treated with Paraguard. Last night he had a bigger white spot and this is from this morning. Double the size overnight. I'm writing to follow up on my previous message regarding the Ocean Green Discus. Sadly, despite treatment, the fish passed away as the white spot rapidly progressed, affecting both sides of its body. I reported this on December 14th.
My husband, for whom this hobby is a significant source of comfort and distraction during his battle with stage IV lung cancer, is understandably very disappointed. Replacing the Ocean Green Discus would mean a great deal to him, but unfortunately, we are currently facing considerable financial strain due to his illness.
I understand that unforeseen circumstances can occur, and I’m not looking to make a complaint, but I was wondering if there might be any possibility of a partial refund or perhaps a discounted replacement at a later date when our circumstances improve. His passion for Discus fish provides him with invaluable emotional support right now. Any consideration you could give to this would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you for your time and understanding.
Sincerely,
Lisa Land Howell

It's only been 3 days and this Wild Discus is showing very nice color. I can only imagine how nice it will look weeks from now. It got some burns during Shipping and was laying on its side for a while. But after a few hours it was upright and swimming better. By the following day it was stronger and wanted to eat. I've treated it with paraguard for the development of fungus on its shipping wounds and by the 3rd day fungus was fading and the wounds looking better. I give the fish 5 stars as I'm very satisfied so far.
