Acriflavine Neutral treats a wide variety of diseases found in freshwater and saltwater aquariums. Acriflavine Neutral does not affect pH, unlike other forms of this medication. It has a long history of use in both freshwater and saltwater environments, including treatment for Velvet (Oodinium), Columnaris (Flexibacter columnaris), Mouth Fungus, Fin & Tail Rot, Sproglenia, Sliminess of the Skin, Egg Disinfectant, External Protozoan Infections, general Fungus, Bacterial Infections and Open Wounds. Acriflavine Neutral is also an alternative for species sensitive to Malachite Green.

Description
Treatment: Remove activated carbon before treating. Dose 1 teaspoon per 10 gallons of water. Dose daily after a 25-50% water change, but only replace the amount lost (do not dose for the entire tank unless doing 100% daily water changes). Dose for 4 days to treat most bacterial ailments; with a maximum of 10 days for treating external parasites. If no changes are noted after the second dose, stop treatment. Monitor fish closely and stop treatment if fish are not tolerating it well.
May be used at 1 teaspoon per 5 gallons to prevent egg fungus. Only one dose is required; however, once eggs hatch either remove the wigglers or begin water changes to remove the chemical.
Do not use with invertebrates or in a planted aquarium. Safe for scale-less fish.
NOTE: Acriflavine is a chemical dye and can stain an aquarium. It is recommended to use in a quarantine environment and not in a show tank.
