You never quite realize the importance of a country day, till a typical day of tranquility becomes rushing taxis. The Constant humming as you feel the cities movement in your heart. Reds, blues and yellows fills my window pains like mosaics. When did I ever exchange my cowboy boots for a shoebox apartment. The country is never truly far from home however with my brilliant blue turquoise, proven breeding pair.
The vibrant red constellate on the fish, reminds me of corn mazes I’d explore as a kid and how the sunset put a haze around the world. And what a brilliant blue sky there was to gaze at; much like the fishes base color. Staring at this color always put my thoughts into perspective. The calming blues and passionate reds of the fish reminds me how much balance is a virtue. I suppose as you grow old you tend to need different things and grow apart from others. I’m not quite ready to grow away from my origins yet. Although, the honks may be my lullabye; I sleep much better knowing there’s still a piece of home swimming in my little shoe box.
