Golden Leopard Discus, Clustered Pattern

There’s nothing more beautiful than a sunset- the deep oranges, the spectacular reds, the marvelous golden hues- scattered throughout fluffy, white clouds like a magnificent painting on a canvas in the sky. What is it about sunsets that makes us feel so serene, so content- like everything in the world is going to be okay? Perhaps it’s knowing that each day is filled with opportunity, with hope; and yet if we don’t feel we’ve done our absolute best, nature’s gentle reminder to us is that it’s alright- there’s always tomorrow. The sun will set at the end of the day, dazzling us with its brilliant splendor, but it promises to return the next day and do it all over again.

If ever there was a physical manifestation of a sunset in nature, it would be in the Golden Leopard Discus. Its face is illuminated with bright yellow tones, reminiscent of the sun’s golden rays, while its round, flat white body is adorned with burnt-orange and red markings, like the painted clouds in the twilight sky. Imagine the tranquility you would feel having this stunning creature in your aquarium! It would be another beautiful reminder from nature that everything is going to be okay.
