Mercury also oversees the shady realm of trickery, as well as guides poor, unsuspecting souls through the depths of the fiery underworld.
The Mercury Discus fish, too, must navigate un-chartered waters. Only instead of the River Styx, the Mercury discus is trapped within the four glass walls of a home aquarium. Its translucent mother-of-pearl sheen makes it look ethereal, as if, like the ancient mythical god, it came from another world.
Or planet. Planet Mercury (the one that goes retrograde and makes packages late) is also named after the god Mercury, because of its close proximity to the sun. The scorching hot temperatures there make the planet move across the sky faster than any other, as quick as the Roman messenger-god.
While the Mercury discus fish doesn’t have wings, its fins propel it with precision, as it makes an epic splash in any underwater scene.

Michael was great working with me to find what I was looking for in my discus and answering many questions I had prior to ordering. They came larger than I thought and full of color that I didn't expect. The shipping took longer than I would have liked and the fish were stressed but Michael ensured me to give them time and they have turned out great. Eating aggressively and grew in a weeks time. Michael was communicating with me daily on any question I had through acclimation and was very responsive.
Really happy with my discus from discus.com. Used airport - airport shipping and it did take longer than expected. In the future, would want to ensure the airport flight got them to me quicker or I would go with Fedex overnight to the house to ensure arrival by 10:30am. I was surprised how friendly these discus are. Years ago, when I kept discus they were very skittish. These beauties run up when I feed and eat right out of my hand. Thanks Michael, will add a new picture soon - they'e grown again :)
