Red Tiger Turquoise Discus
$40.00 – $182.00
Living in NYC, the greatest city in the world in my humble opinion, gives its residents access to some of the world’s best museums. Whether it’s in the week, or a busy weekend, tourists and New Yorkers alike flock to take in the arts. I myself would be one of those. Be it the MET, Museum of Natural History, or the Shed, I make it a point to visit a museum at least once a month.
When I look at the red tiger turquoise discus, fond memories float back up to the surface. This discus reminds me of art in motion. The very first time that I visited MoMA and saw the artwork of Keith Haring, “Untitled,” it was unlike anything I’ve seen before. At first glance, it could be perceived as chaotic and random, where abstract images were created on a stark white background. But in essence, its not. Upon closer inspection of this work, there are details, beauty, his famed icons, and intent with each stroke and line. The red tiger turquoise discus reminds me of this piece of art. The bright red striped patterns on the turquoise hue of this fish, make it unique and truly like no other. Each stripe and each spot all come together on this discus, like a well thought out work of art. The turquoise blue could be seen as the canvas, which beautifully complements the red striped pattern of the design. Each stripe and dot create a different picture, depending on the eyes of the viewer. Where I can see waves leading into a vast ocean when I look at one of this discus, someone else might see something completely different. That’s the joy of the red tiger turquoise, not only does its vibrant colors capture the eyes, its patterns create a picture that is unique to each person.

They are beautiful! Thank you.
It's hard to get them all together. The red ones are still a little stressed I think since they look so dark. The yellow one have calmed down I think since the fins aren't up as much as before.
This is crazy!!
Thanks,
Daniel
Hello! All 6 fish arrived alive and are stunning! However, and I am admittedly inexperienced with identifying this species, 4 of them look nearly identical to me. I ordered 6 different varieties but 4 of them look like the same type, German red turquoise, and then there's a yellow one that I don't recognize. Maybe it is supposed to be the golden pigeon leopard but it has virtually no red on it. And the super eruption is definitely correct. I will send you some pics I have but I didn't get any of the yellow one so I'll have to send you his pic tomorrow after work. Let me know what you think, I didn't recognize any as red tiger, blue knight or golden pigeon. Thank you!
Discus all arrived in good shape. The bags were all very hot(very warm), the Cardinals, and the Cory’s didn’t do so well with the heat. But, I’m not a complainer. The Discus are what I was concerned with. Here are some pictures. They went into my display tank, I had Angels in it, and moved them into a different tank. I’m hoping that they don’t need any meds in the tank. O’yea, all of them are eating.
I hope these are better pictures. If not, I will retake them.
Good in progress to transition into the tank. Beautiful colors! Thank you!
Thank you for your email.. at this time I'm not ready for more but getting ready to set up a 125 and once that is done I will be ordering from you again. Here are pics of the 3 of the 4 I bought from you lost one in shipping. From Michael: Beautiful fish and planted tank setup!
Saturday morning updates the four larger ones seem to be doing well the smaller one seems a little slow was still laying on the bottom then in the pic it was up in the corner like this... I'll keep an eye on that one.
Hello, sorry I have been meaning to call you based off your last email but things have been crazy around here. I am enjoying the discus! They seem like they are doing well. This is my first pair and I am planning to add more here shortly. I just want to make sure I could keep them first! The order got here and I got them all in the tank on the delivery day. I lost one of the bubble rams with in a couple hours. And sadly the pleco about a week later. So from the order I have the 2 discus and 5 of the bubble rams left. See pictures attached.
Sorry it’s taken a couple of days. Just got them both acclimated. One hid a little longer than the other. They are happy and healthy! Thank you again so much. Please see attached photo. They have taken a liking to my small yellow one as you can tell.
The delivery was supposed to arrive yesterday and they delivered it today, all the fish were dead and the water spilled. From Michael: I'm guessing from your photo that not all of the fish died.
Arrived in perfect health.
I received my fish and love them. Now I am just wondering about my plants and when they are coming? I assumed they would come at the same time. Thank you so much for getting discus shipped to me.
Mike. Awesome fish. What did you feed them?
