Rose Red Discus, Dark Base
$29.00 – $132.00
The Rose Red Discus, It’s one of the most beautiful fishes that can be found in any aquarium today, thanks to its many aesthetic qualities that are going from a melon pink color to a flamed red, which they acquired through their natural growth. They have one of the most striking appearances of underwater fauna. Characterized by that particular disc shape that not only highlights its curious colors, also grants a unique symmetry and elegance for its species; from the size of its fins, to the positioning of its eyes and small mouth.

Discus all arrived in good shape. The bags were all very hot(very warm), the Cardinals, and the Cory’s didn’t do so well with the heat. But, I’m not a complainer. The Discus are what I was concerned with. Here are some pictures. They went into my display tank, I had Angels in it, and moved them into a different tank. I’m hoping that they don’t need any meds in the tank. O’yea, all of them are eating.

Unfortunately, the San Merah never got better. The other 13 are doing well and eating. I included a couple photos of my other tanks.
The bag for the San Merah had lost volume, and when I opened it, the fish was extremely hypoxic trying to gasp air from the room air above the pail. I was a Cardiothoracic Surgeon for 40 years, so I’m familiar with hypoxia. Unfortunate. I would love to have him/her replaced and maybe get a few more fish, as well as those 3 plecos. The tank is 180 gallons. I now have 13 Discus, 6 dwarf gouramis and two small coconut plecos. All the smaller fish probably amount to 1 discus collectively. If I can have 1 fish per 10 gallons = 18 total. So probably 4 additional Discus. They are beautiful.
Hi yes they arrived fine. Thank you so much they are so beautiful when they arrived they didn't even hide. They just like to swim around. Thank you.
Yes the fish arrived and they look great all are very active and taking food, curious on what type of food they were on. My ph level is at about 7.2 and temp is 88, is that okay?
I have very much enjoyed speaking with you and am amazed at your works of living art! My whole family (wife and four kids) are just captivated. When their friends come over my kids love showing them the aquarium. They all say when they grow up they're going to have an aquarium too

Hi Michael:
As per our conversation, we received the package, but one of them came with no water and was dead. This was the turquoise discus. Attached pictures of dead fish with stick on eye.
Also, as I mentioned the red one does not look good, but as you instructed I will give it until tomorrow morning. Attached pic.
The albino millennium we ordered does not look like it, it looks more than the golden valentines discus!!! Attached pic.
Please acknowledge receipt of this email, and let me know how to proceed...
Thanks,

Good morning Michael, I’m and enjoying the discus and I’m wanting to get 4 more with a few more Corys. It’s probably going to be in February or January I’ll order them and looking forward to getting some new colors for the tank. Thank you for the awesome service! They eat from my hands! And are so happy and swimming all day long!
On a more positive note the seven ...More
Michael, first picture is the fish I’ve been concerned about the most, still won’t eat not interested in even looking at food the second picture is one that has quit eating in the last couple of days but his color is still good and he seems disoriented at times. The last two pictures are a couple of the other seven that are absolutely ravenous in the morning and they’re eating very very well. I did a 50% water change yesterday with water that’s been sitting for over a week and that seem to help a bit so we’ll see I guess.
Nice fish, everyone arrived alive.
Hi Michael. Thanks for getting back with me so quickly. No, I haven’t raised the tank temp that high. I’ll do so today (slowly) I’ve been keeping it at 83 degrees but it did get to 84.8 once. Thank you so much for the advice, I greatly appreciate it. Very pleased with the fish Michael chose for us, they match what we picked out on the site exactly. The fish all appeared healthy when we unpacked them and introduced them into a quarantine tank. Unfortunately, one died two days later. The other eight in our shipment settled in and were eating and meeting us at the front of the tank each time we entered the room. We moved them to our 180 gallon, planted show tank this morning and they couldn’t look happier. Overall, very happy with our experience and the fish. They are simply stunning in the show tank which we set up specifically for them. --Steve
