Snow Leopard Discus, Red Base

Serene and majestic as only the discus can be, The Snow Leopard Discus, glides into view catching all attention with its signature patterns and colors.

Starting with a smattering of freckles across the bridge between its eyes and on up its nape (or forehead), the distinctive pattern of orange to red deepens down the length of the Snow Leopard Discus’ body. Each discus displays its own unique patterns that run the gamut from stand-alone spots that can lengthen into a near-stripe pattern. The pattern doesn’t stop at the eyes and small bits of red and orange decorate the discus’ wide, curious eyes.

Most delightful and intriguing is what this eye-catching pattern does as it approaches the dorsal and anal fins. The red and orange that gathers into patterns along the body of the discus then stretches into a subtle blending with an icy blue that delineates each delicate spine of the fins. The fusing of the colors continues on down the discus’ sides until coming to an abrupt stop at the tail which fans out in an elegant array of precise uncolored lines.
