Striated Albino Platinum Discus
$101.00 – $170.00
These Striated Albino Platinum discus present an attractive albino coloration. The orange-red eyes present a striking contrast with the subdued platinum-colored body and fins, and the striped markings on the dorsal and ventral fins present the most notable colorations on the fish. The variable markings on the dorsal fin generally show 1/8 inch-wide light orange vertical striping with numerous split, branched, and partial lines reducing both in color and length as the markings move down onto the upper shoulders. Four wide but almost indistinguishable white vertical stripes are visible in some lights in the center of the very pale and classic laterally-compressed body shape. The lower rear of the body shows a darker platinum, almost yellow, coloring that spreads into the rear of the ventral fin. The ventral fin itself shows relatively strong white or very light blue striping towards the front which then fades to cleft lines and aligned spots towards the rear. The gill covers are unmarked, and the caudal and pelvic fins are almost transparent, with some very light platinum striping. The pectoral fins are long and prominent and slightly yellow.
